PDO Non-Surgical Thread Lifts give you the same incredible benefits as a facelift but without the need for general anaesthetic and surgery.
If you feel the skin on your face is sagging and you want a tighter, fresher, more youthful look then this treatment may be suitable for you.

What is PDO thread-lifting?

Otherwise known as ‘the lunch-time face-lift’, PDO thread-lifting has become a popular option for anyone who wants to look younger without resorting to the scalpel. Using micro-fine needles, tiny threads are inserted into the skin to form a mesh that stimulates collagen production. The threads themselves are made from an absorbable compound called polydioxanone (similar to that used in surgical sutures), and dissolve after around six months, leaving a matrix of newly-generated collagen in their place. So while it seems like an artificial procedure, PDO thread-lifting is really just an effective way of harnessing the body’s natural skin-rejuvenating process.

Who is PDO thread-lifting good for?

The procedure is ideal for anyone aged 30 years upwards who wants to achieve a more youthful appearance. The procedure can be used to tackle all the tell-tale signs of ageing from crow’s-feet to nasolabial and marionette lines (which run down from the nose and mouth and contribute to so-called bitchy resting face). PDO Thread-lifts is also excellent for treating jowls and a sagging neck, as they help kill off fat cells, giving you an extra firming effect in this area and a more defined jaw. If you want the benefits of a face-lift without the upheaval of surgery, then this is the procedure for you.

What is PDO Therapy?

PDO therapy is an effective cosmetic technique that lifts and tightens sagging skin tissues by inducing collagen production. It involves the implantation of fine, absorbable polydioxanone threads (similar to those used in medical suturing) into the subcutaneous layer of the skin using small needles. These threads remain implanted in the skin causing micro-injuries that stimulate collagen synthesis and tissue contraction. After six months, the threads will be absorbed into the body leaving new collagen in their place.
The procedures are usually carried out using the local anaesthetic and takes between 45 and 60 minutes depending on the treatment area. Side effects are minimal but may include swelling and bruising that lasts 2-3 days, and patients can continue with normal activities immediately after.
PDO therapy can be used on the cheeks, brow, jawline, neck, nasolabial folds, marionette lines, arms, thighs and abdomen. The lifting effect is at its peak after 6 months when collagen has formed around the threads and lasts between 2-3 years.
